Addison Weast was only 16 months old when she was rushed to the hospital for severe injuries. When her step-father Cody Geddings was babysitting her on March 31st 2010, he started hitting her. He tried to testify that Addison had fallen from her crib and gotten herself hurt. But the hospital staff instantly recognized that the bruises occurred due to abuse and violence. They called in the police, but sadly the baby couldn’t survive.
Geddings was convicted and charged for killing the little girl. Investigations showed that he had a violent past and several crimes to his name. He was charged with 2nd degree murder and he received a prison term. After this tragic incident, Cody Geddings and Addison’s mother got a divorce.
