When Christopher Maloney stood onstage for the audition of X Factor UK, he was shaking like a leaf. He had a stage fright which is the reason why he never really gathered up the courage to participate in any of the singing competitions. He was let down by his friends saying that he didn’t have what it took to be a singer. Yet with the encouragement of his grandmother, he finally decided to participate.
During this audition, Christopher decided to sing Bette Midler’s “The Rose”. This song was played during his grandpa’s funeral and he wanted to sing this song for the judges. Before the performance, Christopher was shaking but when he started to sing, he blew everyone away. Even judges couldn’t believe their ears.
