Elvis Presley is regarded as one of the most significant cultural icons of the 20th century. Of course he is often regarded as The King of Rock and Roll, and throughout his decades of dazzling career, he left millions enthralled with his every work. However, everything has a start to it and everyone needs a break to dazzle the world. For our King, it was in 1956!

Host brothers Tommy and Jimmy Dorsey recognized Elvis Presley and his talent after the success of his promotional clip for “Heartbreak Hotel”. They booked him for a six weeks stay on their CBS variety program called “Stage Show” and it was then that Presley made his first debut in live TV show. He performed “Shake, Rattle and Roll” for his debut and made history afterwards.
