Pregnant orangutan went into labor, then hidden camera captures live birth

It is very rare to witness an orangutan giving a birth. This video below features a Sumatran orangutan named Kea who was caught in the camera giving birth, by the staff of The Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust. This never before seen video is very unbelievable to watch.

The organization which was founded by Gerald Durrell as a charity institution in 1963 now focuses on conservation and saving species from extinction. Kea is one of the orangutans living in the sanctuary and recently she gave birth to her new baby. It is really interesting to see how Kea, as soon as she gave birth, licked and cleaned her baby with her tongue. It may look a little gross, but it is nonetheless a phenomenal view.
