I don’t know about you, but I didn’t know owls could swim. Granted they are not very fast but it’s still pretty amazing. This was filmed by hikers who were walking through a canyon in Lake Powell between Arizona and Utah.
They found young great horned owl has fallen into the water. Great horned owl nests are usually perched on the sides of cliffs to protect them from predators. While this owl is old enough to fly, its young nest feathers soak water quickly, meaning that the owl cannot take off again without drying them out.
